Why can’t I change my email address?

Your email address is your myAtmel account identifier and is used to log in across multiple Atmel sites such as Atmel Gallery and the Atmel Sample Center.

If you need to change your email address, you can first create a new myAtmel account, then send an email to webmaster@atmel.com to request your old account be deleted.

If I have signed up to download something from the Atmel site, don’t I already have a myAtmel account?

No, if you downloaded as a guest, you did not create a myAtmel account. Downloading as a guest gives you temporary access for a single download. In order to receive all the benefits of the myAtmel account, you must create an account.

I tried to download a file as a guest but never received the confirmation email.

If you are downloading more than one file that requires registration, it is strongly recommended that you create a myAtmel account. Once you are logged into your account, you can download any file on the site without filling out a form. Once that file, or any related files are updated on our site, you will automatically be notified on your myAtmel home page. See all the benefits of the creating a myAtmel account, or create an account now.

I used the “forgot password” link on the log in page, but I never received the email.

If you did not receive the email, chances are you do not yet have a myAtmel account registered with that email address or you downloaded a file as a guest with that same email address in the past. Please note that a guest download does not create a myAtmel account. If you have any other issues with log in, email webmaster@atmel.com.

Why do I need a myAtmel account for technical support?

Atmel launched an entirely new technical support system on July 21, 2014 that includes integration with myAtmel allowing you to easily submit your technical questions, see the status of your support requests on your myAtmel page, and resolve your issues quickly. If you already have a myAtmel account then you are ready to use the new system.

Why do I need to use a business or university address for myAtmel account?

A business or university email address is required if you want to order samples. If you do not plan to order samples with your myAtmel account, you can use an email address with any domain.

What is Atmel Gallery?

You can use your myAtmel log in to access Atmel Gallery. Atmel Gallery is an application store that allows users to download extensions that add more functionality to the Atmel Studio Environment. Each contribution is licensed to you under a License Agreement by its owner, not Atmel. Atmel does not guarantee the contribution or purport to grant rights to it. You can use your myAtmel log in and password to access Atmel Gallery.
